My Swagbucks post from a few days ago has been pretty popular, so I thought it might be fun to do a follow-up post to help new users get started with the program. When you first sign up, you’ll find yourself staring at a new and unfamiliar home screen. From there, it can be tough to get started. My goal is to help new users quickly earn a handful of daily points without spending a lot of time on the site. If you’re only looking to earn a little bit of extra money on the side throughout the course of the year for holidays or other expenses, Swagbucks might be the perfect opportunity for you. (You can sign up here if you haven’t already joined.)
Here’s 5 quick steps to earning at least 17 points daily.
1.) Install the Swagbucks tool bar. You’ll get 1 point daily just for having it. You can download the tool bar through your dashboard / home page.
2.) Take the daily poll. It takes 2 seconds to answer and you’ll get 1 point.
3.) Check out the NOSO offers. The number of offers you have to go through changes daily, but for me it’s usually 1 to 5 offers. Just keep clicking “more offers” without reading to spend as little time as possible on this. You’ll get 2 points.
4.) Use the search. You’ll randomly earn points when searching through Swagbucks. If you have the tool bar, you can automatically use their search engine and be eligible for points without even thinking about it. I usually get a minimum of 10 points daily by searching the web.
5.) Watch Swagbucks TV (SBTV). You can watch it on your phone or let it play in the background while you check email or do other activities. Check back from time-to-time because you may need to press a button to keep it going. You can earn 3 points for watching 10 segments. If you start the videos when you get on your computer and let them run while you check your email and Facebook, you’ll be done before you know it. You can watch more videos if you’ll be on the computer longer and earn more points.
If you earn 17 points daily, after a month (30 days), you’ll have 510 points. That’s enough to get a $5 Amazon gift card with 60 points left over. After a year, you’ll have 13 gift cards for a total of $65. That’s pretty good! If you take advantage of another earning opportunity once a month, like a survey or a Swag Code Extravaganza, you’ll earn even more. It’s pretty easy to make $100 in Amazon gift cards by the end of the year using Swagbucks, which you can use to help offset holiday gift expenses or to just treat yourself to something nice.
